Marcos Escobar is professor at the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at University of Western Ontario (Canada). He was associate professor at Ryerson University in Toronto from 2006 to 2016. He studied Mathematics at the University of Havana (Cuba). In July 2004 he completed his Ph.D. in Mathematical Finance at the University of Toronto (UofT, Canada) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Luis Seco. He worked for two years in a postdoctoral position at UofT. His research interest lies at the intersection of stochastic processes, partial differential equations, statistics and applications in finance, in particular multidimensional continuous modeling, portfolio optimization and derivative pricing.
