The Chair of Mathematical Finance is actively envolved in the elite graduate programs Top Math and Finance & Information Management that are both part of the Elite Network of Bavaria.

Munich Financial Center Initiative

The Munich Financial Center Initiative brings together the most eminent companies, associations and institutions, as well as scientific and government entities. The goal: to expand and enhance the strong position of Bavaria – and particularly Munich – in the international competition among financial centers. Bavarian Economics Minister Otto Wiesheu has been instrumental in founding the initiative.

 

Professional Risk Managers International Association

Formed in January of 2002, PRMIA is the premier meeting place of the risk profession with more than 60 chapters around the world and over 57.000 members from more than 180 countries. A non-profit, member-led association of professionals, PRMIA is dedicated to advancing the standards of the profession worldwide through the free exchange of ideas. PRMIA offers the only globally en-dorsed Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification program, pursued by over 1,000 active candidates in 80 countries, more than any other risk certification program. Since the foundation of the Munich PRMIA Chapters in the year 2004, Prof. Dr. Rudi Zagst is a member of the Steering Committee and jointly responsible for organizing courses in the field of risk management. Prof. Zagst is also a member of the PRMIA Academic Advisory Commitee since the year 2005.
